University of Bristol.

Where City and University meet.

The Beacon house project for the University of Bristol was designed as a study space to seat up to 500 people. This study centre offers a large flexible space where students can create small group areas of different sizes.

Furniture23 have been working with the University of Bristol since 2006. Our initial projects were within Library services. More recently our work has evolved to the student study centres, Beacon House being the landmark study Centre within the Grade II listed building in Clifton.

We provided furniture to support group learning, social learning and quiet study spaces. The centre also accommodates a café space that is open to the general public.

Working with Furniture23 on the Beacon House project was a pleasure. They worked tirelessly in preparing a well formulated programme regularly attending site, proposing practical and workable solutions. Our users are absolutely delighted with the space.” – Rebecca Rose
